Svezia Inferno E Paradiso Film Complet
This is the funniest thing I've seen in my entire life, what the hell? I had no idea I lived in such a depraved country, maybe I'm just so used to all the sex, drugs and homeless people eating shoe polish. It's a completely bizarre experience to watch a mondo film about your own home, I spent the entire film just laughing and going "WHAT?!" at all these insane statements.
Sweden: Heaven and Hell (Italian: Svezia, inferno e paradiso) is a 1968 Italian mondo film directed by Luigi Scattini and narrated by British actor Edmund Purdom. As the title implies, the film is a heavily sensationalized portrayal of life in Sweden, with particular focus on the country's liberal attitudes towards sexuality and drug use. The film is best known nowadays for its soundtrack by Piero Umiliani, featuring the debut of the song "Máh-Ná-Mah-Ná", later made famous by The Muppets.
MANAMANA or Mah Nà Mah Nà was written by Piero Umiliani, an Italian composer of film scores. It originally appeared in the Italian film Sweden: Heaven and Hell (Svezia, inferno e paradiso). It was a minor radio hit in the U.S. and in Britain, but became better known internationally for its use by The Muppets in 1969. Sesame Street producer Joan Ganz Cooney heard the track on the radio and decided both it and a shaggy puppeteer named Jim Henson would be perfect additions to the show. First performed by Jim Henson, Frank Oz and Loretta Long on the fourteenth episode in November, 1969, the song entered the public consciousness of the latter half of Baby Boomer children. The following Sunday when Henson and His Muppets performed the song on the Ed Sullivan Show it became an instant classic.
